Here's how YOU can become great at guitar

It’s simple: Don’t look for shortcuts. There are no shortcuts. You need the basics. You need music theory. You need to put in the work—hundreds and thousands of practice hours. Even if your goal is to learn just a few chords or simple soloing, you still need to put in the hours and maintain a consistent practice routine. There’s no magic to it. But patience and a healthy attitude toward this truth are essential.

I will help and guide you on this journey. I teach you the basics, the music theory, and discuss which habits and mindsets are helpful for becoming great at guitar. It’s easy to get lost—trust me, I’ve been lost many times. I know the pitfalls, and I’ll guide you around them.

About Gregor Sklarsky

Become Great At Guitar was founded by me, Gregor Sklarsky, a guitarist and guitar teacher living in Germany.

I started playing classical guitar at the age of 12, and I was terrible at it. Within the first two years, my guitar teacher thought I had some sort of learning disorder. I was the kid who seemed completely ungifted and unmusical, unable to repeat even a short and simple rhythm. But can you guess what my turning point was?

I began to practice. Regularly.

I started making real progress, and it became my passion. I performed as a classical guitarist in ensembles and orchestras, played solo gigs, participated in several guitar competitions, learned electric guitar, played in various bands, did some club gigs, and earned a degree in music somewhere along the way.
