The Easy F Major Shape

This Is A Very Easy Shape For The F Guitar Chord.
The Only Tricky Thing Is The Muting Of The Unwanted Strings.
Here’s How You Should Mute These Strings:
- 1st Mute The Low E & A String With Your Thumb. You Can Do That By Gripping With Your Thumb Around The Neck And Slightly Touching The Strings. Take Look At The Photo Above For Reference. But Be Aware That This Is Only Possible On Electric And Steel String Acoustic Guitars. If You Are Playing This On A Classical Nylon String Guitar Then Forget About This Technique. It’s Not A Great Solution In This Case Cause The Neck Size Is Way Too Big.
- 2nd Mute The High E String With Your Index Finger By Gently Touching The String While Simultaneously Fretting The B String.

This Chord Shape Is Perfect If You Don’t Wanna Use A Barre Chord And Play On A Higher Register.
It’s Often Used In Bluesy Or Jazzy Type Music.
But You Need To Mute The High & Low E String.
The High E String Is Muted By The Index Finger And The Low E String Is Muted By Your Thumb.
But Like In The Previous Shape You Can’t Do That On A Classical Guitar.

Mute The High E String Like In The Previous Chord Described .
